Each year, OC San’s Operations team selects two Operators—one from Plant No. 1 and one from Plant No. 2—as our “Operator of the Year.” Receiving this recognition isn’t just a title, it’s a way to honor the hard work, dedication, and expertise these individuals bring to the job every day.

Operators are the watchful eyes that keep OC San running. They monitor and regulate key parts of the wastewater treatment process, like water levels and flow rates, to keep our plants operating 24/7 without disruption.

This year, we’re excited to announce this year’s honorees: Minh Tran for Plant No. 1 and Scott Green for Plant No.2

Minh was chosen for his strong work ethic and dedication to growing both his technical expertise and leadership capabilities. As a Senior Plant Operator, he plays a key role in emergency response efforts, mentors and trains new team members, and troubleshoots complex equipment issues.

Scott is an invaluable team member at Plant No. 2, widely respected for his extensive knowledge and positive attitude. As a Lead Plant Operator for the Liquid Process Team, he’s instrumental in project functionality acceptance testing and ensures seamless coordination between OC San, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
